About

Matt Woodley is the editor of BestCreditCards. He has worked on international money transfers since 2020.

He founded an independent comparison site for currency brokers and money transfer services, after losing thousands to hidden bank fees and poor exchange rates when buying a property in Spain.

He holds two degrees from the University of Auckland, a Bachelor of Commerce and a Bachelor of Arts, with majors in Finance, Economics, Marketing and History.

At BestCreditCards he is accountable for every card record and recommendation and approves each for publication. The figures are checked automatically against a saved copy of each issuer’s own terms, and every page says whether it is approved.

In Matt Woodley’s words

When the Fed raises rates, your card rate goes up on the elevator. When the Fed cuts, your card rate takes the stairs.
