This doesn’t check your credit. Matches come only from your answers and each issuer’s published terms, and only the issuer can tell you whether you’d be approved. Order is by fit, never by payment: we currently earn nothing from any card. How we get paid

Left out: 6 whose issuer states a higher credit level; 5 for students only; 21 that need a deposit; 17 that need a membership or an existing account; 40 that don’t offer what you picked, or whose rewards we can’t value.

How Cardnivo matches you to a card

Cardnivo compares your answers with each card’s record, taken from the issuer’s own published terms. It never checks your credit and never sends your answers anywhere: the matching runs in your browser.

  1. Your credit. 50 of the 141 cards have a credit level stated by their issuer, such as “Good to excellent credit”. A card is left out if its issuer states a level above yours. The issuer’s own words are shown with each match. Where an issuer states no level, the card is still shown if your credit is good or excellent, and after the cards that do state a fit if it isn’t.
  2. What you want. Each goal keeps only the cards that offer it: a 0% intro APR on balance transfers or on purchases, no annual fee, a higher rate on travel, or the features issuers name for building credit. Rewards are ranked by what each card is worth to you a year after fees, on your spending spread like our example profile.
  3. What you can get. Cards that need a security deposit, are for students only, or need a membership or an existing account (20 cards, such as credit unions’) are shown only if you say so.
  4. The next step. 17 cards’ issuers say you can check whether you’re likely to be approved without affecting your credit score. Where they do, the match links to the issuer’s page.

What Cardnivo can’t tell you

If you carry a balance, compare borrowing costs as well as rewards. Our credit card interest and repayment calculator lets you try a balance, APR and monthly payment before choosing a card.
